Good disc reading speed & includes software

This is a decent optical drive, extremely easy to install, it's quiet, reads discs quickly, but most importantly the Power DVD software you need to actually watch blue rays comes included with it.The only downside I can see is that it only reads blue rays and doesn't write them, this doesn't particularly bother me (I don't think I've ever had the need to write a DVD let alone blue ray), but it might be something you want to consider before buying.Overall very satisfied, delivery was very fast as well, 5 stars.

BD/DVD/CD Combo

Whilst the delivery was a little slower than I usually expect (8 days), the drive itself is exactly what I was hoping for.It's supplied with a plastic film over the front panel and drive tray, once removed it's quite shiny with a speckled finish. Supplied complete with mounting screws (very small), manual, disk , SATA cable and Molex-SAT power cable, so pretty complete.Fitted and working in under 10 minutes, including levelling with the rest of my PC front panel devices, the drive was available on first reboot. The software on the disk is the usual set of possibly useful tools, but the main reason for buying this device was the Lightscribe function and there's an application for label layout.I burnt a couple of CDs (at about 32x speed)with no problems what so ever. Next, turn over the disk and start the Lightscribe application, design the label and write that too. This took longer than I expected, about 29 minutes writing, but the results are impressive. The images are monochrome, but have a depth that I wasn't expecting. I chose a very complicated image with text as my first disk, and the whole impression is really slick. I can't see ever using self adhesive labels again.All in all, a good price for an excellent device that I would highly recommend.
