Excellent piece of kit

Plays all the blue rays and DVD I want.Wanted this to play some imported DVDs and blu-rays , not because they were cheaper far from it, however the films I wanted we're only available from the United States because the British versions had been altered from their original format, namely the Andromeda Strain , with original ticker tape titles and Battle Beyond the stars, refused to pay thirty quid for a second hand VHS version.DVD player is great , just put the DVD in and it plays automatically no matter what country zone it's from.Blu ray requires the machine to be switched off whilst buttons one two or three is pressed to select zones, A B or C. This is no great difficulty and does not detract from the Unit. The picture quality is excellent and I am very happy with the player. The menus are era easy to use.Remote control can be used to control the TV, found the codes through a quick Google search, TV remote buttons include on/off, AV input, volume up/ down, channel up/down and mute button.I have found this more than sufficient so no need to have two remotes whilst playing DVDs and blu-rays. There are enough buttons for the DVD player itself.The player s small and neat and the included HDMI lead was of good quality and more than sufficient in length.In short a quality LG product made even better by multi region and multi voltage and multi TV format

Well I have spent many months of saving up for a decent enough player to go with my LG Smart TV and I watch lots of films.Now there seems to be people questioning this product so I will confirm it is region free.I unpacked the box which came with the usual pieces and a universal power extension plug.Once I hooked the system up to my TV I tried playing a Region 2 DVD first as I live in the U.K and it worked very quick load times and good picture quality.I then placed a Region 1 DVD into my tray ( I like to buy from America its cheaper than the UK in some cases) the DVD worked and again very good quality no errors and issues.It then came time to try a BLU Ray disc I placed a Region A disc into the system and swapped the player mode (A very easy setting adjustment with instructuions supplied by the seller) it worked very well loved the quality.I then tried a Region B disc and surprise surprise it worked so I'm very happy my cinema setup works very well and i'm glad I paid that little extra for the service and build quality.Thanks CodeFree much appreciated

...now refined...but no customer service!

Forget my last review!...Shortly after my 5 star review the unit started to disconnect from our WiFI....Then the unit WOULD NOT CONNECT. After many attempts, we "might" connect, but shut it down and power back up and no WiFi, Troubleshooting via the LG program proved to be useless, recycling our router. Reset to factory, and sometimes it would connect, mostly no connection. Problem non correctable and very frustrating. After contacting William at the seller and a several emails with pictures taken of the TV screen showing the problem and their response remedies, we finally got a "refund" email...after that email...THE SUPPORT STOPPED. NO MORE RESPONSE (emails) from the seller. After 6 days of waiting and one more email from us, with no response, we contacted Amazon and got a full refund...so it is a great machine as we have one in the USA, but customer service and standing behind the product is ZERO. If you need support, don't expect it! "You have bought it". To date we still have received no more response from seller!UPDATED...23rd Jan 2013...still no acknowledgment from seller...Amazon needs a "zero star" for zero support from seller
