For the money, quite frankly, you can't go wrong. I bought this as a second Bluray player for the house to go upstairs, in my bedroom.It's small size and compact nature makes it perfect for this task. It sits neatly, hidden away, in the drawer of my bedside cabinet it's so small.The remote control too is nice a small, as opposed to the bigger type yoou get with TVs. Paired with my LG flatscreen TV, I get an added bonus because I can now use this smaller remote to control both TV and Bluray player meaning the bigger remote that came with the TV is now tucked away in the sock drawer while the Bluray's smaller remote sits out on the bedside table.Connections round the back are simple. You get a fixed power lead and 1 HDMI output and that is it making hooking this unit up a doddle. Picture quality is as you would expect from Bluray, excellent, and the start-up time is also very quick - being notably quicker, I feel, than my Panasonic Bluray downstair - which ironically, is supposed to be a 'Quick Start' model!Using this in conjunction with my LG TV, it makes me wish I'd bought an LG player for downstairs too as my TV down there is also an LG. I would swap the units round except there is no way my Panasonic player would fit in the drawer of my bedside cabinet. This unit is wonderfully compact and I think that's a real strength.

Bought this Blue ray to match my newly purchased Full HD LG 42" TV. Both machine marry up perfectly and both remotes interact. The machine plays the discs perfectly and I have no problems with the display quality, it is however in my view a very Basic machine does just what it's says on the box but that's all, no bells or whistles. In hineside probably should have paid a little bit more for a more advance machine.

I have had the player now for 6 weeks and it does the job I want extremely well for a low price.I use the HDMI out port to a computer monitor and get an excellent picture. I use audio out cables to my speakers (which is shared with my PC and V+ Box) since the sound quality is so much better than the monitor's speakers. It runs my Blu-ray disks and I use the USB port to play other HD files. Everything works well.What would of made it perfect would be support for headphones.I liked it so much that I bought one to connect to the living room TV.
