Pricey and Poor Signal Strength
By G. S. Dingwall
I bought one of these for my Sony Bravia EX703. I echo the thoughts of others about this being a bit overpriced, but if you want to connect the TV directly to the internet you'll have to accept it.I find it does not pick up the signal very well if the router is not in the same room as the TV. I normally keep the router in my study, and I can access the internet on a PC or PS3 from any room in the house, and in some parts of the garden. However, I can't connect to the internet on my Bravia if the router is not in the same room. SO I've had to move the router into the living room. I can still access the internet in any room in the house on my other equipment, so I don't understand why this dongle is so weak. Most of the stuff available on the Bravia is of no interest to me, I just hope they get Freeview on it soon. I was quite surprised to see my music collection from my PC appearing on the TV after I fitted the dongle. Although this isn't necessary for me as I have a PC connected to my AV receiver and can play my PC music through the amp in any case.So overall, the item works, albeit with limited strength, it's pricey and you don't get a lot when you connect it to a Bravia TV.

Very Poor Signal Strength
By Andy Lancs
I read the reviews, and was not put off by the larger than normal number of negative comments about signal strength. I trusted in Sony (they have served me well in the past). Surely it could not be that bad, I thought. It is.I struggled for a few hours to get it working. I then took my new 40 inch Bravia into the room where the router is (I could not extend the router so had to move the TV). Bingo, it worked first time. 5 bar signal strength. My daughter re-watched the final of Strictly Come Dancing on BBC iplayer. I was impressed. (Not with strictly!).I then returned the Bravia to the adjacent sitting room, some 20 feet away. Zero bar signal strength. I could not believe such a dramatic change in such a short distance. So I repeated this again a further three times. All with the same result.I'm deeply disappointed that Sony has produced such a weak wireless adaptor. It seems, as others have said, there is a high risk this wireless adaptor will not work if it is in a different room to your router. All the other wireless devices in the house run fine off the router. My son's PS3 even works in his loft room.It seems from the reviews I have read, that you have a 50:50 chance of this working for you. You may be lucky. I was not. I shall be seeking a refund, and I've already ordered a 20m ethernet cable to run under the floor.20m Professional Network Cable (Black) - Premium Quality (26 AWG & 100% Copper Wire) / CAT5e (enhanced) / RJ45 / Ethernet / Patch / LAN / Router / Modem / 10/100

Internet Tv
By Notnehs
Bought this to be used with a new Sony tv. Really easy to set up (just followed the guide that came with the tv).Now can watch Internet tv directly on the tv.Signal strength is good and the picture is great - much easier than watching on your laptop!Only downside is that it doesn't yet work (to my knowledge) with BBC iplayer, itv,4od or sky player - come on you guys stop making us watch on laptops!!!
