Great Player for the price

I bought this player despite the other reviews on the site mainly because I have a Sony TV and wanted the remotes to be compatible, also because it is relatively cheap and my DVD player just broke after 10 years of service. A perfect opportunity to upgrade to upgrade to Bluray.Firstly to comment on some of the other reviews. Yes it doesn't come with leads (I spent £4 on a set) but then it is one of the cheapest BR players on the market. The tray is made of plastic, I havent come across one on any player made of anything else, but works ok and isn't at all flimsy. You can hear when you load a disc, but its not particularly loud and in operation is much quieter than the player it replaced.Setup was really easy, out of the box, plugged in the power lead, HDMI and ethernet cables and I was away. DVD, Bluray and Youtube / iPlayer all on my TV. No configuration of the network required (I was expecting to have to fiddle with IP addresses etc for half an hour before it worked).Bluray quality is excellent. The discs seem a little slow to get going but not having owned a BR player before this may be a normal feature. DVD discs play ok also, it is supposed to upscale the resolution on these, but I cant notice an improvement in quality.The only drawback is that the case, although it looks very nice and unobtrusive, is made of the kind of plastic that attracts all the dust in the room.

Firstly , amazing fast service. Product delivered in 24 hours.Very compact.Easy to set up.Picture for Blu-Ray and DVD are fineI confirm it plays USA DVDs with no problemsNegative comment: It's surprisingly noisy when loading - especially Blu-Ray discs.Really grinding noises. It is quiet when movie starts to play, so I must assume it's ok and not a fault.Has anyone else got this noise issue?Otherwise I recommend it.

Does exactly what it says in the description,plays dvds from any region (used japanese, korean and american on it)Fantastic quality blu-ray player, nice compact design so fits pretty muchanywhere!Don't know why people are complaining about the noise, i think they're justnot used to technology because mine is nice and quiet :)Many thanks!
